Through the phthisis of concrete details, hysterical dialogue, and insightful character revelations, Orwell creates the depressing pecker that is evident in Winston’s mind. IN this section alone, Orwell establishes the characters of triad main characters that each help to create a good-for-naught tone. At the beginning of this passage, Winston’s neighbor curates is brought in on the account of legal opinion crime; he was caught and report by his own young lady. “In fact I’m soaring of her. Parson represents the entire population, negatively charged Winston, and their hopeless devotion to the corrupt government; this symbolizes the hopelessness of Winston’s situation because if a person who was an wishful believer in the government was inc arcerated, there was no way he was going to ! get away with the intense ‘thought crime’ he had committed.
